How to fully heal using a comprehensive, integrative approach

Lyme-triggered PANS (Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Syndrome) and AANS (Adult Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Syndrome): How to fully heal using a comprehensive, integrative approach.

Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Syndrome (PANS) is a syndrome identified over 20 years ago by NIH pediatrician Sue Swedo. The adult version of this is now referred to as AANS (Adult Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Syndrome). Historically it was believed to be a pediatric condition triggered by Strep infection, however recent research suggests that is not the full story. Lyme is also a trigger for PANS and AANS. This lecture will discuss typical presentation of PANS and AANS, common co-infections that can trigger these conditions, predisposing factors including mold, mycotoxins, electromagnetic radiation exposure, toxin exposure, dysbiotic microbiomes, and stress / trauma, current diagnostic criteria, testing recommendations, and comprehensive treatment options.

The talk will conclude with a discussion of ways to help the care and healing journey be more affordable and accessible, supportive and successful, through Newbridge CARE circles group medical programs.
